The goal is to rehabilitate three seven floor towers built in the 60’s. To do so, one tower proposes a common area at ground level and twelfe duplex that evoluate through the 6 remaining levels. Each duplex is crossed: one level facing East where the kitchen is located, the other level facing West welcoming a living room. Kitchens and living rooms are common areas to four appartements that form one crossed duplex. The volume of those common areas expand and varies on each tower level and are also used for distribution. They can be divided into modular spaces using movable pannels attached to a rail on the seiling, allowing the inhabitants to appropriate the space. Crusades questions the limits between private, semi-private and public space. The actual inhabitant of the unrenovated tower are immigrants with a low income. By sharing certain spaces, the architecture promotes a meeting between each person in order to reinforce the community.
